Due to the continued growth and expansion of Rhead Group, we are looking to recruit an experienced Associate Director into our busy Specialist Services division. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills, knowledge and experience to develop your career further, in a diverse and fast paced environment. Coming ideally from a contractor’s background in construction or civils, you will be self-motivated, disciplined and commercially astute. Current commissions are focused on legacy issues for National Contractors, which, for example, include:

• Identification of previously un-recovered Scope changes on complex Engineering Projects
• Identification of the causes of delay and disruption on multi million pound Projects.
• Compilation of presentations / submissions to demonstrate the Causes, Entitlement, Effects and Quantum of delay and disruption losses.
• Supporting and representing Contractor’s in meetings on the above issues

Key responsibilities will include:

 Providing the Commercial Lead in the quantum element of Adjudication Referrals and Responses. Reporting directly to Construction Law Solicitors
 Acting as the Commercial lead for Contracting organisations with responsibility for a whole commercial team.
 Guiding, monitoring and mentoring team members up to and including Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
 Ensuring continuous improvement in the Commercial Services offered to Clients
 Assisting in the recruitment of Commercial staff.
 Marketing for the continuation of existing and new commissions


Qualifications:

 Degree in Quantity Surveying
 MRICS qualification / Membership of RICS is desirable


Experience:

 Minimum of 10 years Commercial background in Contracting Organisations.
 Ability to manage Contractor and Client Accounts and the issues arising.
 Sound technical understanding and experience of Commercial and Contractual disciplines.
 Systematic approach to problem solving with good analytical skills and attention to detail
 Good communicator.
 Good IT skills.
 Self motivated and confident
 Desire and willingness to progress to a Senior Management role.
 Experience working in a senior commercial role in contracting organisations
